What's in a title
Often the first thing that catches a readers attention is the title of a story. A title can be of any length and be as weird and unusual as the author likes. The title on most occasions gives a rough idea about what the story is about. In the book I have been studying lately, "The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy," I found the title a perfect match as it has some relevance to the story line but also gives the audience an impression on the story as one that's weird and wacky which it most certainly is. Douglas Adams (the author) could have gone for a much simpler title such as "Arthur Dent," or even " The man, the alien and something in between," which both would have gone with the story just the same. But titles like these are common and boring, and don't really give the reader a good impression on the type of text that the book holds. That's why I believe Douglas Adams really hit the mark with the title "The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy."
